Shallow Waters has three intertwining stories, one of which concerns a lively, optimistic young woman who's destroyed by adversity. The second is a lighter story which involves an older 40ish year old woman just coming off of a bad relationship and begins a relationship with a new neighbor, a man 15-20 years her junior. The third is a hopeful story of a young woman who finds the courage to leave the emotionally abusive relationship she's in, strike out on her own and be her own person.
